Cub Scouts ona recent weekend in Larch HillCub Scouting is a fun and adventurous programme which is designed for 8-11 year olds.

Cub Scouts are encouraged to work, play and grow together through a programme of games, crafts, nature study and outdoor activities, designed to meet and match the vivid imagination of young people of this age.  Cub Scouts have their own Progress Scheme called the Discovery Trail.

As a Cub Scout a young person becomes a member of a 'six' (a group of up to six cubs) within a Cub pack (5 or 6 sixes).  Cub Scouting is about fun, adventure and challenge but it is also about learning by doing.

The Award Scheme is designed to challenge the Cub Scout by assessing their knowledge of Scouting skills.  Individual Cub Scouts can choose to seek merit badges in their own chosen subjects.  Click here to learn more about the Discovery Trail.

Our Cub Leadership Team consists of Catherine Cardiff, Shane Briggs, and Niall Kenny.  Cub Scouts meet on Saturday afternoons from 3pm to 5pm in Bluebell Community Centre, Old Naas Road, Bluebell.
